A “hiab” is a widely used term for truck crane; a crane that is mounted on a heavy, modified truck chassis. Hiab crane trucks are commonly used in the transport industry for the loading and unloading of freight, and in the construction industry for the movement of materials. A crane truck is a great alternative to having a crane on a work site, as a crane is limited in location and cannot be driven on a public road.
